After driving through heavy rain and mud, worrying about how this was all going to play out, we arrived at our favorite site to THIS !!!
It was hard to wash off. Lots of sliding on the road, but the day soon shaped up to be gorgeous.
Not to be defeated by someone's stupid sign, I walked around and found this great collecting site outside their mining rights.

The 'tow-det' worked great, blowing apart only once. The toilet paper all blew off the roll in that incident. But we had somewhere to go!
This was the most persistent rock hound. We found a perfect cluster. We dug for hours.

Carter planned the trip. We had a wonderful time. I might consider tent camping to start collecting again. Steve- notice I said 'consider!' It was a really fun day.
