Trailside

I'm baaack! I have forgotten how wonderful the trail is. I made it on my 10 mile ride yesterday. It was beautiful It took me a week to work back up to 10 miles, but yesterday was a great ride. I even accomplished it in a fairly nice time frame. I worry about getting hurt sometimes. It would be awful to not be able to exercise. I have to admit that I don't just love exercising, but I love the way it makes me feel Yesterday, I felt the urge to stay with the progam and improve my riding.
Little purple crocus hve sprung up in the garden. I can see the buds on the daffodils. My message to the snow that is falling today-"Your days are numbered". I am actually glad that it is cold and snowy today. That improves the odds of a lovely Easter Party next Saturday. I have the prizes. I have most of the eggs filled. I have the plates and decorations. I have the enthusiasm. I have the wonderful family. I guess I don't have a state of the art camera, but I do have great mind pictures. It's coming!!!!!

Make it a Great Day

I have a few random thoughts to share. I got up this morning with hope in my heart for a great day. (It has been a little crazy lately mostly because of the time change...(don't get me started.)
I found myself rushing to get out the door and onto my bicycle this morning. I made it, even had time to let the chickens out of their coop. I got in the door to school, hugged one of my friends and announced, "Today will be a great day". Then as I am walking down the hall to my library...I realize that I had neglected to get out meat for dinner or pack myself a lunch. School lunch didn't look to promising, but was my only hope. I called home and left a message to Hayden asking him to help where he could. We had an assembly this morning (4th grade program) which I enjoyed. I came back to my room to discover lunch on my chair covered with (this is the best part) a note that said, "I love my mommy". I AM having a great day. I am keeping that note. I have a great son..(actually 3 great sons) Thank you so much Hayden.
Here is my real random thought. I love stick horses. They were used frequently during the 4th grade program. I remember using them as a child and one year at girls camp we found branches from trees. We each named our horse and rode them everywhere...I know that I was an imaginative strange child, but I enjoyed my youth.
I have been loving loving loving working in the yard.. My front yard is tidy, the Christmas lights are down and put away and the Christmas tree is off the deck! What a great start. And may I add that the delightful sound of frogs are accompanying me on my bike rides. Spring is the bomb.
