On the Trail Again, Just can't wait to get on the ....

It is a beautiful spring day. I was so grateful to be able to ride in white Capri sweats, a T shirt and no heavy jackets and gloves that I decided to take you along for an adventure.

The tunnel was closed...who cares. I like to head south.

My favorite spot on the trail. I think I like the woodsy feel right here.

A hill. I used to dread them. I would have to gear down and pant up the hills, but now I remain at my top 'gearage' and cruise to the top. I even can ride standing up and pumping!

I tried to get a picture of some of the people on the trail that think they are very skilled riders. You know ...spandex, expensive ten speed, and all the gear. But unfortunately, gear does not make you skilled. Speed does not make you skilled. I like the skilled riders that are courteous and safe..."On your left" Is that so hard to say?

The 500 South tunnel. I always feel a sense on accomplishment when I reach this spot...I also know I am close to half way through my ride.

Hello Brian and Raelynne somewhere in this subdivision.

I made it to the 3.5 mile marker today. (I could have gone farther...time is an issue)

One on the many mini lakes on the trail. All full of frogs singing love songs. I also hear a meadowlark quite often at this lake.

The dreaded gates. I actually have learned the trick to riding through these. You have to be going so slow that you are actually accelerating. I have made it through them twice now without chickening out and putting my foot down.
Finally I end with a harbinger of spring. The Frog Lake Choir serenading us with "Here I Am Baby"
PS I won't tell you about the creepy snake this time. Ew-hoo-hoo-hoo

Invite me along sometime. I'd quite enjoy riding with you if you don't do any of the following: 1. say, "wait up Mom" or 2. "When can we turn around?" or 3. "Can we stop here so I can pee?"

If you keep your mouth closed occasionally and enjoy the beauty around--we may actually get along for a ride!

Glad you were outside. Isn't the weather glorious?

I can't wait to go on bike rides with you. Although I will be saying "wait up mom!" quite a lot.

Loved this post Mom. Made me really miss West Bountiful, and being able to ride my bike on that trail.
