Home With Stars in Our Eyes
We are happily home from our star struck family camping trip. I am exhausted. We saw some fantastic shooting stars on Wednesday night - before the clouds rolled in, unfortunately, those clouds thought we were there to see them. The meteorites that we did see were incredible. Our favorites were the big ones with tails. We painted T shirts and quilt blocks, made bracelets and rock necklaces, rode motorized toys, practiced target shooting, had a paint ball war, ate good food, sang good songs, loved great children, enjoyed toasty fires and celebrated our family. We are making a 'star' quilt which we will give to a lucky member of the family in the future. I think we have a new family tradition. Thanks to all the great family members, each of which took the time to share and give to their siblings and parents. Each of them had a great attitude and tried to make sure everyone had fun. As usual, I enjoyed the moment and thus forgot to take enough pictures. Someday we will find out what that strange screaming you heard was about!
Next time let's not order a snow storm to escort us home!

Can't wait till' next year!
We had lots of fun.
.... maybe we'll bring a coat next time.
That brings back a lot of good memories of camping with the Johnson family.
We really wish we could have gone and Jeremiah and the Kids were going to on Friday but dad forgot to give him the map of where you guys were so he didnt want to drive all the way up there not to be able to find you guys! sorry we missed out but we will for sure be there next year I will make sure of it im sad we missed such a fun time :(
The sound was a cougar. Richard looked up cougar sounds on the internet. It was a female mating scream, which, interestingly, is rarely heard. It sounded like women screaming. Crazy, eh? She was probably over by all the sheep trying to hook a man. :)
Makes the event even more exciting! I had a blast. I actually feel ready to start back to work because I had a fantastic summer.
Looks like fun. You're a good mom/grandma to make such memories.
It was so cold there. We should go to Goblin Valley next time.
