The Final Performance

I just got home from my final Solo & Ensenble. Carter went to State. First he sang his solo. The Death Solo. He did beautifully. He has such a pretty clean voice. Then we raced to the auditorium and listened to a few choirs before Bountiful's Chamber group sang. My favorite was Loch Lomond. Tthe. We sprinted to the library for the very best. My Wild Irish Rose. It was a men's trio featuring....Carter. Brought a tear to my eye it did. I am so proud of Carter. He doesn't like the spot light on him, but performed his best. It was a great morning.
Carter sings of death in German. He did a fantastic job.

I'll take the high road. Loved it!

Preparing to sing My Wild Irish Rose. If I could ever figure out how to add video....

The 'Egg' citing Hunt

We hid around 650 eggs. Stephanie sneaked over and hide another 100 eggs. We let the kids loose. We let the parents loose. There are still eggs in my yard. Marinda- I know where one is and I'm saving it for you!
The Participants

The Booty

A cracked her eggs open like a real egg.

Searching everywhere

The whole yard was fair game

The Man

After looking at my last post, I realize an explanation is in order. That hairy beast really is a preparing missionary. Hayden is currently in the play Man of La Mancha at Centerpoint Theater in Centerville. He didn't try out for the part....they called him. He plays Pedro, the prison gang leader. He is a very bad man.  He is in the same cast as my sister, (who does an excellent job. Her part has a lot of acting with action. I love watching her) We attended the dress rehearsal last Friday. It was excellent. I enjoyed it but I don't think I will watch it again. It was very difficult observing my son in an evil role. I was glad when it was over and the real Hayden came out and hugged me. It ends May17th and I am looking forward to seeing his cute face again!

It's Here Y'All

What a fun afternoon. I came home in a panic realizing that Hayden had invited a bunch of people to our house for the Grand Opening. I came home to a beautiful patio and help getting a meal. I loved being surrounded by people that I love and that love me. Treasure. It was a time to also invite our Father in Heaven to join us. We had a prayer and Hayden opened the envelope. We waited as Hayden smiled and read his assignment- Atlanta Georgia North. Now the stress really starts.

Sharing Spring Photos

If life gets anymore crowded....I may have to move somewhere! I am loving Spring and all the fun that accompanies it. Here are my fun photos with brief explanations.
It's bunny time again. I love Easter. I love the sights, sounds, tastes, smells, feels and temperatures of Easter. We love taking pictures with the stuffed rabbits.

My Frittilaria. It is so cute with it's checkerboard petals. It is tiny and every year I forget about it and then get a treat when I see it peeking out in the garden.

That's me with Lois Lowry. Fun night but extra long!

Visiting the Easter Bunny. Fun picture but someone is missing!

There he is. Notice the pout. He 'didn't want to see it anymore.'

We enjoyed the day with Grandma and Grandpa. Afterwards, we started to cleanout their house to sell. It made me feel very heavy hearted.

Carter had a packet to turn in for graduation. He found out it was due today on Sunday. He brought it home last night and stayed up all night to finish it. He better get a good enough score. I kept him company.

I didn't mean to add this, but it makes me laugh. It's the sign for a Beryllium mine. "Let's get out of here before one of those things kills Guy!"

Spring Breakin' It

We had a great maiden voyage of the trailer. After a fun lunch at Leger's Deli, we started on our journey. I expected at some point we would acquire a riding guest. I was waiting to see who and when the request would come. I was surprised that it was L and he wanted to ride with right from Leger's. It was so much fun. The trailer pulled beautifully and was so fun to camp in. We felt like we had a lot of blessings that made it possible for us to enjoy the beauties of our world and the company of our family. We had miraculous help with batteries, hitches and groceries.
We arrived at our campsite near Topaz Mountain and quickly set up camp. The boys immediately began picking up every rock they could. Ethan got out his Rainbow Loom and made a sing- "Rainbow Loom for free" . He made bracelets for everyone. We enjoyed our meals. We enjoyed each other. We enjoyed having a bathroom!
We found many beautiful specimens.  Superman and I are going to polish them and give them as Christmas gifts. Pictures are a very worthy way of keeping records, so I will let them do the rest of the talking.
T and his 'camping drink'

D took a nap in the trailer. Popie and I watched him while everyone else went Topaz hunting.

Popie....reading?

D loved his lunch with us.

C playing with the ball trampoline. A fun game.

We flew kites. They were the so fun. Perfect place to send it soaring.

L with one of the treasures

Marinda cries an Apache Tear. Who is that in the back ground.

E with some of his treasures.
