I got an early Christmas gift. A brand new circulation desk. It is beautiful and large and I am loving it. See the bright green 'garbage can'? It has candy for my friends. Come visit me!

A Night at the Ball
Carter went to the Christmas Dance with a gorgeous girl. I am not kidding. Her hair was perfect. I wish I could have worn my hair like that just once. They looked very cute. They are both great kids. I hope it is a perfect night for them. You are a great son Carter!

The Salon
I was given the full 'treatment'. How fun to have my granddaughters comb my hair and 'make' me up. (Although I had a hard time getting the lip gloss spread thickly on my cheeks to come off!) They all got in on the action. Even Emma.

A Very Thankful Weekend
We had a great Thanksgiving. Two turkeys- baked and fried, potatoes, yams, rolls, deviled eggs, rainbow jello, corn and olives....plus a bunch more and cheeseball/crackers and chips and dip. Pies were great (so I've heard...I was good on that choice! Not so good on other choices) Loved seeing the children. If your picture isn't here, it wasn't from lack of trying. I love my wonderful family.

Super Mountain Man
Another great demo for Meadowbrook
Wily coyote
The kids loved the red long johns
The gun got a bigger response
Another cool thing..the hatchet
The matchless fire. I loved the cheers. We were joined by older grades hoping to see the demonstration again.
I love my Super Mountain Man!

Grateful for Lamberts
We enjoyed the weekend in Logan with our favorite Lamb Fam. I have discovered the joys of Granny Smith and My Little Pony on the Ipad thanks to Rich. We loved watching Alaina sing and give her part. Emma was doing the actions with the kids. Way cute! I loved shopping with Steph and the games we played. We also got to see Lacey and Mark. It was a great get away. Looking forward to seeing them at Thanksgiving.

Grateful for Heroes
The noir hero is a knight in blood caked armor. He's dirty and he does his best to deny the fact that he's a hero the whole time.
Frank Miller
A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today is Veterans Day. I am privildged to work in a school that honors this day and the heroes that serve our country. I have tear filled eyes as they honor the veterans in our community. This year, each member of our school planted a flag to line the walkways to the school. It looks fantastic. We had a few heroes join us for the assembly. I thought of my family members that have served our country. A huge 'thank you' to them and all!

Grateful For Health
Last night, I had a visitor about 9:00 PM. I wasn't feeling very well, I think I may have had a reaction to the flu shot I received a few days ago. I was achy and my face was so sore. I felt chilled like I was getting a fever. About 1/2 hour before my visitor, we had some groceries and a sweet note left on our porch. It said something to the effect that as they prayed for direction on who to serve and they thought of us. It had a quote by Pres. Uchtdorf. It was so touching. I felt so loved. I didn't need the groceries but I needed the thoughts.
Then my visitor arrived. I really didn't feel like getting out of bed to visit with Cooper, but pulled on my plush white robe and walked down the hall. A very somber Cooper stated that he was so sorry to hear about my cancer. I was shocked. He told me how he had heard at mutual through the Boy Scouts that I had cancer. We had a good time. I think someone may have confused the situation. I do have a dear neighbor facing a hard disease. I wonder if that was who really should have received the service. As we laughed and tried to straighten everyone out, I reflected on the blessing I had just been given. I was allowed to speculate a different scenario than the life I am currently enjoying. I am grateful for my good health. I wonder how I would have been feeling if the rumor had been true? What would my attitude have been? With what level of faith would I have been functioning? I am glad that I don't have to face that right now. But I do feel very assured that I wouldn't be alone...physically or spiritually. What great friends and neighbors I have!

Prove Me Herewith
As usual, the 'world' is a big bad scary place. I have had great faith and trust in my Heavenly Father. We need to pay $1600.00 in taxes at the end of the month...we barely have enough money for bills. My worldly mortal self gets all worried. My spiritual self, the person I am really trying to cultivate knows that the Lord is over all. As I pedaled my way through another prayer a few days ago, I pointed out that we are paying tithing faithfully and I am trusting Him. A while later on my ride the words came to my mind. "Prove me herewith" and " the windows of heaven" opening on us. He did that. The details are private to us, but He showed us that He does watch over us and showed us the way. I am so grateful for all my many blessings. For November, I am going to try and record as many blessings as I can. I know that I could never record them all because there are just so many of them. He lives. I didn't get to say that from any pulpit yesterday, but He does live. I love Him. He gets my vote for everything!

Remembering Halloween
Well, I thought it was going to be a sad and lonely stupid Halloween. I was blessed with a rather fun evening. Many spooks and goblins came and made me smile. I had dinner at the Crandalls....hot dogs and root beer. I am going to do something like that some year when I have my sweet husband to help. Can you guess who the creepers are?
Spiderman
A Dinosaur
Jack Skellington
" I not a Doctor, I...( put your guess what he is here)
A storm trooper
Baby Harry Potter
Ghost and Skeleton (My favorite Pez boys)
Little Mermaid
Ninja and Police Chief
Ninja and ...what are you Derek?
